Missions Partners Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in our community and around the world has always been an important focus of our congregation. Currently we are partnering with the following missionaries in this effort through our financial gifts and prayers.

JERRY AND VICKY LOVE are returning to the United States in January '08 after serving 30 years as Covenant missionaries in MEXICO. Their last area of ministry was in Puebla, Mexico's fourth largest city, where they planted a Covenant church. Several years ago, a new building and property were purchased to accommodate the growing congregation. Puebla Kids, an Awana Club for children, is a key ministry, meeting weekly in the open courtyard of a nearby housing complex. Click here to learn more about Covenant Missions in Mexico.

PAUL AND SHERYL NOREN -- After spending 10 years in Congo, Africa, with the Paul Carlson Medical Foundation, the Norens were commissioned by the Covenant for missions work in Congo in 1989. Their focus was on discipleship, agricultural and village development, and ministry to women and children. When civil war forced them to evacuate in 1996, they were reassigned to work in the Central African Republic. In 2002, they were forced to evacuate to nearby CAMEROON, where they pursued language studies and served as dorm parents at a school for missionary children. ROBERTO AND NANCY REED were commissioned by the Covenant in 1996 as missionaries to SPAIN. Since 1999, they have been ministering in a city of 300,000 in the Northwest corner of Spain. The church they have planted is the only evangelical church in the area, has experienced significant growth and has an average attendance of 180, many of whom are new believers. CATHY CAMPOBELLO was commissioned by the Covenant as a career missionary to a country in SOUTH AMERICA in 1990 to serve in the area of church planting and discipleship. Currently, Cathy is working with the Covenant Kids Foundation, a ministry to impoverished and needy children, many of whom are living on the streets of a major city in South America. Children are provided with food, medicine, dental care, counseling and education in a safe and loving environment. Most hear about Jesus and His love for them for the first time as the gospel is shared with them.

JIM AND HYDI PETERSON were commissioned by the Covenant as missionaries to JAPAN in 1993. Their dream was to plant the first Christian church in Yoshioka, a town with a population of about 20,000. Today the church has a vital and growing ministry, especially to children. Outreach programs include English classes, summer camp, "Saturday in the Park" gatherings and a Gospel Choir. After 11 years in Yoshioka, the Petersons moved to Tokyo in May of 2004, where Jim is now teaching at the Covenant Seminary, in addition to carrying out his responsibilities at the Yoshioka church. DOUG AND SHERRIE ANDERSON live in Smithers, British Columbia, CANADA, where Doug is now serving as the Canadian Field Director for UIM International. In addition to overseeing UIM staff, Doug is ministering among the native people at Kyah Bible Fellowship and is involved in the ministry of Rock Nest Ranch, an area camp serving children, teens and adults. Recently steps have been taken to expand the camp with the construction of a new dining and chapel facility. Doug and Sherrie have a heart for reaching the native peoples for Christ.

CHUCK AND JOY GOERTZEN have been in full-time ministry with Campus Crusade since 1994, when they were stationed in Kiev, Ukraine. Their service has also included ministry on the University of Colorado campus at Colorado Springs, as well as five years working with students in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The Goertzens returned to the United States in 2004 and are now ministering to international students on college campuses in Colorado through Bridges International, a ministry of Campus Crusade.

BILL AND DONNA WOODS are former members of our church who have been serving with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1973. During these years they have worked in Kenya (3 1/2 years) and South Africa (7 years), where they helped to train local pastors in evangelism and discipleship. In 1993, they returned to Colorado to work with the Campus Crusade Global Resources Center, teaching lay people how to share their faith in Christ, and leading short-term missions trips to Africa. Currently they are focusing on JESUS film outreach opportunities with short-term teams.

LINDA WOODS has been serving with Campus Crusade since 1993. After 8 years of international ministry to students and staff, she has returned home to the United States and is using her gifs and experience to help train and support other staff being sent overseas in language development.
